About Me
My work is about navigating the space between chaos and order, both in the world and within myself. I use oil paint to explore ideas through a kind of stream-of-consciousness process, letting each piece evolve through layering, erasing, and responding in the moment. The result is often abstract or semi-abstract, rooted in meditation, self-discovery, and the tension between control and spontaneity.
I’m influenced by artists like J.M.W. Turner, Marcel Duchamp, and Edward Hopper, artists who challenge perception, emotion, and thought in different ways. Their work reminds me that art doesn’t have to offer answers; sometimes it’s more powerful when it holds space for questions.
Originally from Virginia, I now live and work in Columbia, Missouri, where I continue to explore how painting can reflect the quieter, less defined parts of being human.
